I am a graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Master of Architecture degree as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from the same university.
My emphasis in graduate school was on historic preservation and the rehabilitation of existing buildings for new uses from which I have also received a Graduate Certificate in Historic Preservation from UTSA.
My Master of Architecture thesis research focused on a study of how to design new contemporary buildings in contextual relationships with the site and with historical precedents surrounding the building. This in turn led to my Master's Design Project of Travis Park Center, a contextually responsive, urban infill and mixed-use project, examples of which can be found in my portfolio.
My work experience includes 3 years at Kell Munoz Architects in San Antonio and half a year at the San Antonio Conservation Society, a summer internship at the Preservation Resource Center in New Orleans, and a summer internship at Wagner & Klein Architects in Fredericksburg, Texas.
